Sunset over the countryside.
This scenery belongs to my land, the northern Italian plain. We are on the banks of a Delta branch of Italy's longest river, between land sea and lagoon.
Agricultural lands with a few houses and farms stretch until they are lost on the horizon. Opposite, the river flows in its fluctuating waters that flow into the sea.
Completely different landscapes meet each other a short distance away, the lagoon with its wooden fishing cottages and boats silently making way for the fields that line the riverbank. Seeing the waters of the river flowing into the sea is a spectacle, the great silver trail into the vast mass of seawater creating currents and eddies giving every hour of the day a different atmosphere each time depending on how the light envelops the scene.
